そして企業がガクチカで聞きたいのは、
「何をしたか」ではなく、
「その経験から何を学び、入社後どのように活かせるか」
であることを説明しました。
実際、多くの留学生は、
「日本語能力試験N1を持っている」
「研究を頑張っている」にもかかわらず、
ESや面接で自分の魅力を十分に伝えられずに悩んでいます。
それは、なぜでしょうか。
それは、
「経験はあるけれど、それを日本企業に伝わる形で言葉にできていない」
からです。
「私の思いや経験を、日本企業に伝えたい！」
そう思う留学生向けの「就活個人レッスン」を行っています。
就活個人レッスンの内容
【就活個人レッスン メニュー】
A 日本のオフィスでの言葉遣い・所作・マナーを学ぶ
（まずは第一印象が大切！）
日本の会社では、仕事の能力だけでなく、社会人としてのマナーも重視されます。
挨拶、敬語、報告・連絡・相談（報連相）など、職場で必要な基本的な言葉遣いと所作を学びます。
B 面接で話す日本語をブラッシュアップする
（自分のことを日本語でアピールできるように！）
面接では、日本語が正しいだけでは十分ではありません。
自分の経験や考えを、相手に分かりやすく伝える力が必要です。
自己紹介、自己PRやガクチカ、志望動機などを一緒に練習します。
C ES（エントリーシート）に書く「自己PR」とエピソードを日本語で作る
（自分の強みをエピソードで裏付ける！これ大切！）
「私の強みは責任感です」だけでは企業には伝わりません。
「私の強みの背景には、どのような経験があったのでしょうか。
具体的なエピソードを整理しながら、説得力のある自己PRを作ります。
D ES（エントリーシート）に書く「ガクチカ（研究）」とエピソードを日本語で作る
（ガクチカはエピソードで伝える！）
研究内容を説明するだけではなく、
研究を通して身につけた力を伝えることが大切です。
企業目線で伝わるガクチカ作りをサポートします。
E 自分に合う日本企業の業種・職種を考える
（就活では何をポイントに企業を選んだらいいの？）
「なんとなく有名企業を受ける」ではなく、
自分の強みや価値観に合う企業を一緒に考えます。
業種や職種の違いについても分かりやすく説明します。
F ES（エントリーシート）に書く「志望動機」を、自分の強みと結びつけて日本語で作る
（その企業と自分が大切にしていることの共通点は何？）
企業は、「なぜこの会社なのですか？」を必ず聞きます。
企業研究をしながら、自分の強みや価値観と企業との共通点を見つけ、
説得力のある志望動機を作ります。

You Understand ES and Gakuchika. But Can You Manage Job Hunting in Japan Alone?
In the previous blog, I explained that:
- An ES (Entry Sheet) and Gakuchika are not the same thing.
- What Japanese companies want to know from your Gakuchika is not simply what you did, but what you learned from the experience and how you can apply it after joining the company.
In reality, many international students:
- Have passed the JLPT N1.
- Have worked hard on their research.
However, they still struggle to communicate their strengths effectively in Entry Sheets and job interviews.
Why does this happen?
Because they have valuable experiences, but they are not able to express those experiences in a way that Japanese companies can easily understand and appreciate.
To support international students, I offer one-on-one job-hunting lessons.
One-on-One Job Hunting Lesson Menu
- Learn Japanese Office Language, Business Etiquette, and Professional Behavior
(First impressions matter!)
Japanese companies value not only skills and knowledge, but also professional manners.
You will learn workplace communication, honorific language (keigo), reporting and communication practices, and basic business etiquette expected in Japanese offices.
２ Improve Your Japanese for Job Interviews
(Learn how to present yourself confidently in Japanese!)
Using correct Japanese is not enough in an interview.
You need to explain your experiences and ideas clearly and effectively.
We will practice self-introductions, self-promotion (self-PR), Gakuchika, and motivation statements.
３ Create a Self-PR Statement and Supporting Episodes for Your Entry Sheet
(Support your strengths with real examples! This is important!)
Simply saying,
“My strength is responsibility,”
is not enough.
Why do you believe that?
What experiences demonstrate that strength?
Together, we will organize your experiences and create a convincing self-PR statement.
４ Create a Gakuchika (Research Experience) and Supporting Episodes for Your Entry Sheet
(Tell your story through specific experiences!)
It is not enough to explain your research topic.
What matters is explaining the skills and abilities you developed through your research.
I will help you create a Gakuchika that appeals to Japanese employers.
５ Explore Japanese Industries and Job Types That Match Your Strengths
(How should you choose a company during job hunting?)
Instead of applying to famous companies without a clear reason, we will identify industries and job types that fit your strengths, interests, and values.
You will also learn the differences between industries and positions in Japan.
６ Create a Motivation Statement That Connects Your Strengths to the Company
(What values do you and the company have in common?)
Every company will ask:
“Why do you want to work for our company?”
Through company research and self-analysis, we will identify the connection between your strengths, values, and the company’s goals.
Then we will create a persuasive motivation statement for your Entry Sheet and interviews.
